Rain Dancer

Explosions in the sky on a rainy day
Is art in the heavens, It is safe to say.
While all the wild the thunder mimics a drum beat,
While the raindrops dance then drip off my rain coat.
It’s not really cold unless the rain hits your skin;
Don’t let the rain hit your skin and you’ll be warm.
The rain drops pelt these cymbals
While this little drummer boy-
Pa rum pum…
These raindrops pelt this drummer,
As he plays on.
Smashing his snare sending drops
To fall in formation with the others.
Smashing his high hat heightens with each collision
Of clouds, and thunder’s crack.
This drummer boy plays on-
Pa rum tat tat…
He doesn’t know where his talents have come from,
But he knows what it’s come to.
So he plays his music for the comfort of you;
It comforts me to say it comforts him to make you feel comfortable.
Pa rum pum tat…
While his soundtrack to the stars prancing in the skies is wonderful;
These explosions in the sky on this rainy day,
It is safe to say,
Is art.
Pa rum pum pum pum…
Tat.. Tat..
Tat.
