Earwig

When live laugh love turns into rape kill pillage
Is when I realized I was going to feel it.
Smack dab in the middle of an island
Without a supply line or small village.
Stranded by your currents, washed up at sea.
I gave you my heart and you watched me bleed.
I gave you my soil and you plant a malicious seed
Of grave robbing envy and snakes
That hiss secrets that I'd like to forget.
An earwig that digs into the grey matter that once had color.
A parasite in the mind that corrupts me into a blunder
Of screaming pain and agony, but it makes me wonder...
If the caterpillar would have reached his destination
If he wouldn't have been a mother.
The thought dissipates as the tide sweeps me under.
